Custom industrial workwear engineered for rugged durability

Work clothing earns its keep on the factory floor, the loading bay and the job site, not on a hanger. Benjima is a workwear manufacturer for industrial companies, logistics fleets, contractors and uniform distributors, making utility jackets, cargo trousers, work shirts, boiler suits, overalls, parkas, safety vests and the caps, belts and kneepads that go with them.

We run the whole order for you, from pattern grading and fabric sourcing to sampling, sewing, inspection, packing and shipping. A dedicated B2B merchandiser is your single contact, so repeat orders keep to the same specification, and every decision that changes the strength, fit or look of a garment comes back to you for approval.

Industrial clothing almost always fails first at seams and stress points: a ripped crotch, a torn pocket corner, a split under the arm. Those are exactly where we put our effort, and they are tested on your sample before a single bulk order is cut.

Custom workwear prototype samples tested before bulk production

Every workwear order starts with a physical sample, ready in 7-10 days. Hand it to an experienced crew lead and let them wear it for a week of real shifts. Let them kneel, climb, load tools into the pockets and run it through your usual laundry before you decide anything.

If the knees need more room or a pocket sits in the wrong place, we change it on the sample rather than on a full run. Once you approve it in writing, it becomes the reference every bulk garment is checked against, so the kit your teams receive matches what your crew already tested.

See how heavy-duty workwear is built on our floor

The video follows a workwear order through our production floor: heavy twill and canvas checked for weight and shrinkage, patterns cut on automated grading tables, seams triple-stitched, bartacks placed at every stress point and each garment measured before it is folded, tagged and packed. Your order follows the same route, with photos sent at each stage.

It is useful to share with your health and safety manager, procurement team or your own customers if you distribute workwear. Use it to agree on what matters most, whether that is fabric weight, the number and placement of tool pockets, the type of zip, or how cartons are labelled and stacked for your warehouse team.

Prefer to talk specifications through? Send us a message and a merchandiser who knows industrial garments will call you back to go through the details.

Why industrial buyers source workwear from Benjima

Factory-direct pricing, pilot runs before rollout, and one merchandiser who keeps every reorder to the same specification.

No trading company markup

Every intermediary between factory and buyer adds cost. Contracting directly with us removes trading and broker fees from the price, and you speak to the garment engineers and merchandisers who actually make your kit.

Pilot, then scale

Start with a pilot batch of 50 sets per style, then roll out to your whole fleet. Monthly output of more than 50,000 units supports large programmes.

Checked at every stage

AQL 2.5 checks run from raw fabric shrinkage tests to final measurement audits, so weak seams and sizing errors are caught long before cartons are sealed.

Landed cost you can plan

We ship door to door on DDP terms by express air or containerised ocean freight, handling export clearance and duties. Your finance team gets a predictable landed cost, and your sites get cartons ready to issue.

Built to outlast thousands of shifts

Our workwear is built with triple-needle flat-felled seams and heavy bartacks at pocket corners and other stress points, using heavyweight twill and cotton duck with reinforced knee and elbow zones. Fabrics are abrasion rated to Martindale 50,000+ cycles for long working lives.

A soil-release finish helps grease and machine oil lift out in commercial laundering instead of building up. Colours are made to stay strong through 50+ industrial washes, so crews still look professional months later.

Custom industrial workwear branded for commercial fleet operations

Many of our buyers are distributors and supply companies selling workwear under their own name. We finish garments with your woven neck labels, reflective brand emblems, rubber badges and heat-sealed care labels, plus high-density logo embroidery on the chest or sleeve, or print where it suits the fabric better.

Retail readiness is handled at our factory. Garments are folded, tagged with UPC or EAN hangtags, packed in barcoded polybags and boxed into cartons to your distribution specification, so stock can move from container to shelf with very little handling. We can follow your existing packing format if you already have one.

Corporate colours can be matched to Pantone references across jackets, shirts and trousers so a whole programme looks consistent. Every label, badge and colour appears on your sample first, and your patterns stay on file so the next order matches this one exactly, without a new round of sampling.

How do you choose the right workwear for your crews?

The best workwear is the kit your crews actually want to put on, because it fits, moves and survives the work. Before ordering, it helps to decide three things: the fabric for your conditions, the fit and features each role needs, and how branding will appear.

Fabric for your conditions

Lighter 65/35 poly-cotton suits warm indoor plants and maintenance teams. Heavier cotton twill and duck canvas suit cold or abrasive outdoor sites. Ripstop blends resist tears where snagging is common. Fabric weights from 240 to 350 GSM let you balance toughness against comfort for each role and season.

  • Choose lighter poly-cotton for warm indoor plants, workshops and technician teams.
  • Choose heavy cotton twill or canvas for outdoor sites.
  • Choose ripstop where snags and tears are a regular problem for your crews.

Fit for movement

Crews bend, kneel and climb all day. Gusseted crotches, pleated action backs and elasticated side waists stop garments pulling tight or riding up. Good fit is also a durability feature, because clothing pulled out of shape wears out faster.

Ask the people who wear it what fails first. Then build your specification around that answer.

Features worth carrying

Hammer loops, D-rings, knee pad slots and tool pockets are only useful if your crews use them. Too many pockets add weight and cost. Walk the site with a supervisor, note what people carry, and specify the features that match. Your sample will show how each one works in practice.

Comfort your crews notice on long shifts

Tough workwear should not feel like a punishment. These four details help crews move freely and stay comfortable from start to finish.

Room to kneel freely

Diamond crotch gussets add space where ordinary seams pull tight when bending, so trousers move with workers instead of splitting.

Reach without the hem lifting

A pleated action back on jackets opens as arms reach overhead, keeping the lower back covered while working at height.

Tools carried securely

Reinforced hammer loops and D-rings hold hammers and tools without tearing the surrounding fabric, even after months of daily use.

Zips that last

Heavy-duty brass zips, or non-conductive coil zips where needed, are chosen for each job and environment.

Workwear for every crew across your operation

One manufacturer for your whole workforce, so fabrics, colours and fit stay consistent across every site and size.

Frequently asked questions

What is the minimum order for custom workwear manufacturing?

Pilot orders start at 50 sets per style. That supports pilot orders, contractor trials and new distributor ranges without large stock commitments. Sizes from XS to 6XL can be mixed within the batch, and custom sizing is available for workers who need it. Send us your roles and headcount and we will confirm the exact quantities for each garment.

Can we test a physical sample before bulk?

Yes. We deliver physical pre-production samples within 7-10 business days. Bulk cutting begins only after your team approves the fabric, stitch quality, fit and embroidery in writing, and that approved sample becomes the standard every bulk garment is measured against. Small changes at this stage are quick and cost very little.

Which fabrics do you recommend for heavy-duty industrial work?

We usually suggest heavyweight 65/35 poly-cotton twill from 240 to 320 GSM, cotton duck canvas or reinforced ripstop. They resist tearing and abrasion and release grime well in the wash. Your sample lets crews compare them on real shifts.

How long do bulk production and delivery take?

Bulk production usually takes 18-25 business days after sample approval and deposit confirmation. Shipping time depends on air or sea freight. If you have a site launch or contract renewal date, tell us early and we will be honest about what is possible.

Can you produce workwear under our label?

Yes. We supply woven neck labels, rubber badges, reflective brand emblems, stamped rivets and retail barcode hangtags, and pack to your distribution specification. Every label and trim appears on your sample first, so you approve the real finish before production starts and nothing changes in bulk.

Can you match our corporate brand colours?

Yes. We use spectrophotometer colour matching to your Pantone TCX or PMS references, keeping shades consistent across jackets, shirts, trousers and accessories. You check the matched colour on your sample, in daylight, before bulk begins.

What quality checks do you run on workwear orders?

Every order is inspected to AQL 2.5 standards. Our auditors check fabric strength, seam durability, bartack placement, colourfastness and shrinkage, and you receive photos before packing. Anything that does not match your approved sample is corrected before it ships to you.

Which shipping terms and methods do you offer?

We ship door to door on DDP terms by express air with DHL, FedEx or UPS, or by full or shared ocean containers for larger rollouts. Export clearance, customs duties and import logistics are all managed by our team, so you receive cartons without paperwork.
