Building sites are hard on clothes. Concrete scrapes, rebar snags, lumber tears and a full tool load pulls at every pocket. Benjima makes construction workwear for general contractors, carpenters, electricians, civil engineering teams, tool retailers and trade brands, designed to survive that daily punishment while still letting people move freely when they climb, kneel and lift.
Our range covers carpenter trousers, canvas jackets, knee pad trousers, site vests, cargo shorts, hoodies, bib overalls, flannel shirts and accessories such as tool belts and beanies. You choose the fabric, the pocket layout, the colours and the branding, and one merchandiser looks after your order from the first tech pack to the packing list.
Most problems with trade clothing show up after a month of real work: a split seam, a torn pocket, knees worn through. We plan for that month from the start, so the garments you approve on day one still hold up in the middle of the season.

Every construction order starts with a fully made prototype, ready within 7 to 10 business days of your brief. Wear it on site. Load the pockets, kneel on the slab, climb the scaffold. You will learn more in one day of real work than from any spec sheet or catalogue photo.
If the holster sits too low or the knee pad pocket needs to move, we change the pattern before bulk begins. The approved prototype then becomes the standard every bulk piece is checked against, from canvas weight and stitch count to rivet placement and the exact shade of your brand colour.

The video takes you through a trade workwear order from start to finish: cutting heavy duck canvas, attaching Cordura knee panels, triple-stitching the main seams, bar-tacking pocket corners and checking each garment before packing. That is the same journey your order takes, and you get photos at each step so you are never left guessing.
It is worth sharing with your site managers or retail buyers before you place an order. Seeing how pockets and reinforcements are built makes it easier to agree on what your crews really need, whether that is a tuck-away holster, a top-loading knee pad slot, a hammer loop or simply a tougher seat seam.
Prefer a conversation? Send us your current trousers or a tech pack, and we will talk through the options for your crews together on a short call.

Reinforced where it wears | Cordura patches on knees, elbows and hems, triple-needle seams and double-layer pocket bags stop garments splitting under concrete friction, sharp lumber and the weight of heavy tools carried all day.
Waists run from 28 to 54 and inseams from 30 to 36, so most site crews get a proper fit without special orders or hems rolled up at the ankle.
Seasonal launches start at 50 pairs or sets per style, and monthly runs reach 45,000 units, so you can test a new style and then scale it.
You discuss pocket layout or stitching changes directly with the garment engineers who will make them, not with a broker in between. A dedicated merchandiser runs your account from canvas booking to the final packing list and dispatch.

Trade garments for every site role

Canvas or ripstop fabric
Choose duck canvas for framers, carpenters and heavy groundwork crews on site.
Choose ripstop for electricians, finishers and summer wear.
Choose 1000D Cordura patches where knees and hems meet concrete every single day.
Watch how your crew actually works for a day. The right pocket layout will become obvious.
Room to move
From canvas roll to site

Kneel without the pain | Top-loading pockets hold standard foam knee pads in the right place, so they stay put when the wearer walks, climbs or kneels.
A diamond gusset and flex waistband give room to climb, squat and lift, without the seat seam pulling tight or splitting open.
Ring-spun cotton and lighter ripstop let air through, keeping crews comfortable and focused on long, hot days working outdoors.
Phone and ruler pockets sit where the hand falls, so nothing needs hunting for in the middle of a task.

We recommend 100% cotton duck canvas at 300 to 380 GSM, or poly-cotton ripstop for lighter work. Both are reinforced with 500D or 1000D Cordura patches across knees, elbows and pocket edges, where clothing always wears out first. We can show both on your prototype.
Bulk production takes 18 to 25 business days after you approve the prototype and confirm the deposit. For larger construction firms we can also schedule recurring shipments, so new starters and replacement stock arrive on a steady rhythm.
Yes. We build top-loading or bottom-loading Cordura knee pockets that fit standard universal foam and gel knee pads, closed with secure hook-and-loop. If your crews already use a particular pad, send one with your brief and we will check the fit on the prototype.
Yes. Our heavy-duty holster bags have reinforced tool dividers and can either tuck into the front pockets or detach with heavy-duty YKK zips. One base trouser can be offered both ways, which suits retailers wanting two price points from one pattern.
Every order passes AQL 2.5 inspection covering seam burst strength, bar-tack stitch count, rivet pull-off strength, fabric tear resistance and wash stability. Checks start with shrinkage tests on raw canvas yardage and finish with final measurement audits on packed goods before they leave.
We ship worldwide door to door on DDP terms, by DHL, FedEx or UPS air express or by ocean container. Export customs, import clearance and duties are all handled by us. Seasonal retail launches usually travel by sea to keep landed costs down.
