Custom hi-vis workwear engineered for maximum visibility

When a driver comes round a bend at dusk, the only thing between your worker and that car is what they are wearing. Benjima makes hi-vis workwear for highway contractors, rail teams, transport departments, warehouses and safety distributors, built to the class your site needs and branded the way you want it.

We make the full range: vests, jackets, parkas, bombers, polos, tees, hoodies, cargo trousers and coveralls, in fluorescent yellow, orange and red with reflective tape. Every style is made to Class 1, 2 or 3 under ANSI/ISEA 107 and EN ISO 20471, and you deal with one merchandiser from the first quote until dispatch.

Getting hi-vis right is mostly about choosing the correct class for the job, then keeping that brightness through months of washing. We help you with both, so the vest that passes inspection on day one still does its job at the end of the season.

Custom hi-vis apparel samples approved before bulk sewing

Before anything is cut in bulk, we confirm the garment class and the tape layout with you, then make a sample to that exact spec. Samples take 7 to 10 business days. You can check the colour, the fit and where the tape sits against your own safety rules.

If a stripe needs to move or a pocket gets in the way of a harness, we change it on the sample. Once you approve it, that sample becomes the reference for every bulk piece, so a vest from the first carton matches one made months later, even on a repeat order.

Watch a hi-vis order move through the factory

The video follows a hi-vis order from fabric to carton: cutting the fluorescent cloth, placing the reflective tape, sewing, checking and packing. It is the same route your order takes, and you get photos at each stage, so you can see your garments being made instead of waiting for news.

It is also a useful thing to share with your safety manager or your client before you order. Seeing how tape is applied and checked makes it easier to agree on the details that matter on your sites, whether that is sleeve coverage for night work, breakaway vests near machinery or extra room over winter layers.

Prefer to talk it through? Send us your site conditions and we will suggest the right class and style on a call.

Custom Hi-Vis Workwear

The right class for each task, samples before bulk and one person looking after your order.

Certified to the class | Every style is made to Class 1, 2 or 3 under ANSI/ISEA 107 and EN ISO 20471. We check the class and tape layout with you before sampling, so it passes inspection first time.

Brightness that lasts

Tapes are rated for 50 or more industrial wash cycles at commercial laundry temperatures, so the garment stays bright long after the first few washes are done.

Small runs, whole depots too

Orders start at 50 units per style and monthly capacity is above 60,000 pieces. Trial one crew first, then re-equip whole depots from the same approved sample.

One contact, no chasing updates

A named merchandiser follows your order from fabric booking to dispatch and sends photos along the way. Questions about tape, colour or class rules go straight to people on the factory floor, not to a broker.

Made to survive the laundry and weather

Custom Hi-Vis Workwear

Hi-vis is only useful while it stays bright. Cheap tape cracks and fluorescent dye fades after a few hot washes, which leaves a worker less visible than they think. That is why our tapes and fabrics are chosen for 50 or more industrial wash cycles.¶Navy or black panels on cuffs and trouser hems hide grime where wear is heaviest. Each label carries clear washing and drying instructions, so your laundry treats the fabric correctly from the first day.

Hi-vis styles for every shift pattern

Custom Hi-Vis Workwear

Custom hi-vis workwear branded for high risk jobsites

The right hi-vis garment depends on where your people work, how fast traffic moves past them and when they are on shift. Settle three things before you order: the class, the fabric for the season and how your branding will sit. The rest follows.

Match class to risk

Class 1 suits low-speed areas such as car parks and warehouses. Class 2 covers most roadside and logistics work. Class 3 adds sleeved coverage for high-speed traffic and night work. distribution backgrounds, like a cluttered rail yard, also push you towards a higher class. We help you match each role.

Choose Class 3 jackets with sleeves for highway crews working at night.

Choose Class 2 vests for most logistics and site work.

Choose breakaway vests for anyone working close to moving machinery or traffic.

  • Fabric by season

Breathable birdseye knit suits summer shirts and light vests, because air passes through and sweat moves away from the skin. For winter, waterproof Oxford shells with taped seams and fleece liners keep crews dry through long shifts outdoors.

Start with the job and the traffic. Once you know the risk, the right class is usually obvious.

Tape that bends

Solid reflective strips are tough and cheap, but they can feel stiff and trap sweat. Heat-segmented tape is cut into short sections, so it bends with the body and lets air through the gaps. Your sample shows both options on your chosen fabric, so you can feel the difference before you decide.

From fluorescent roll to vest

Custom Hi-Vis Workwear

A safety garment only works if people actually wear it. These four points keep your crews comfortable from start to finish.

Cool in summer heat | Moisture-wicking birdseye knit lets air through and moves sweat away, so shirts and vests stay comfortable on hot days.

Tape that moves with you

Segmented comfort tape bends at the elbows and shoulders and breathes through the gaps, instead of sitting stiff on the body.

Dry in rain

Polyester Oxford shells with a PU coating and fully taped seams keep rain out during long shifts.

Kit within reach

Clear ID holders and two mic tabs keep passes and radios where gloved hands can find them quickly.

One supplier for the whole kit, so colours, tape and labels match across every garment and every size from XS to 7XL.

A sample arrives in 7 to 10 business days so you can check colour, fit and tape in person.

  3. Production and checks

Bulk is made and checked against your sample, with photos sent to you before anything is packed.

  4. Delivered to your depots

We ship door to door with duties settled, by air express or by sea for large rollouts.

  5. Frequently asked questions

Which safety standards do your hi-vis garments meet? | Our hi-vis garments are certified to ANSI/ISEA 107-2020 in Types R, P and O and Classes 1, 2 and 3, and to EN ISO 20471 Classes 1, 2 and 3. That covers both North American and European sites. If you are unsure which class your crews need, tell us about the work and the traffic and we will suggest one.

What is the minimum order for custom hi-vis?

The minimum is 50 units per style. That is enough to trial a new vest or jacket with one highway crew, rail team or warehouse shift. Sizes from XS to 7XL can be mixed within the order, so a small trial still fits everyone.

How many washes can the reflective tape and fabric take?

Our glass bead and micro-prismatic tapes are certified for 50 or more industrial wash cycles at commercial laundry temperatures, without losing their reflective performance. Follow the care label on every garment and your laundry will keep the brightness where it should be.

How long does a bulk hi-vis order take?

Samples are ready in 7 to 10 business days. Once you approve the sample, bulk orders are finished and dispatched within 18 to 25 business days. You get photos at each stage, and if a date moves we tell you first, with the reason.

Can we add our logo without losing certification?

Yes. We place logos in non-reflective zones that keep the required background and reflective areas clear, or use certified reflective heat transfers that count towards visibility. A branded sample shows exactly where your logo sits, so you and your safety team can approve it before bulk starts.

What fabrics work for summer and winter?

For summer we use 140 to 160 GSM moisture-wicking birdseye mesh knits. For winter we make 300D waterproof Oxford parkas with fleece liners and 320 GSM fluorescent hoodies. Many buyers order one of each for year round cover.

How do you check the fluorescent colour is right?

Every textile lot is measured with a spectrophotometer to confirm its colour and brightness meet ANSI/ISEA 107 and EN ISO 20471 requirements. Lots that fall outside the limits are not used. It is a quiet step, but it keeps garments compliant from batch to batch.

How do you ship hi-vis orders overseas?

We ship door to door on DDP terms, so duties and customs are settled before the goods arrive. Urgent orders and samples travel by DHL, FedEx or UPS air express, and large rollouts go by container ship, which lowers the landed cost of each garment.
