A school uniform has to look smart on the first morning of term and survive the playground until the last. Benjima makes blazers, shirts, polos, trousers, pleated skirts, jumpers, PE kits and coats for independent schools, academy trusts, school districts and uniform shops, in your colours and carrying your crest.
We manage the whole programme for you, from pattern grading and fabric to sampling, bulk production, inspection, labelling, packing and delivery. A dedicated account manager plans each order around your school calendar, and every decision that affects the finished uniform, from the shade of the blazer to the crest stitching, comes to you for approval first.
Uniform problems are familiar to every school office. Knees wear through by spring, colours fade unevenly, labels scratch, and stock arrives after term has already started. We deal with each of those on the sample and in the plan, long before parents notice.

Every school order starts with physical samples, made within 7 to 10 business days. Your uniform committee, office staff or stockists can check the fabric, the fit on a pupil, the crest embroidery and the seams. Anything that needs changing is changed on the sample, not on a full season of stock.
The samples use your real fabric, colours, crest and labels in the sizes you choose. Once you approve them in writing, they become the reference for every bulk garment. Each piece is checked against them, so the uniforms families receive match the ones your school already saw and agreed.

The video follows a school uniform order through our factory. You see fabric being cut by computer, blazer crests being embroidered, skirt pleats being heat-set, seams being bar-tacked at stress points, every garment passing through a needle detector and uniforms being packed for each pupil. Your order takes the same route, with photos at each stage.
It is a helpful thing to share with governors, parent groups or the people who run your uniform shop. Watch it together before ordering, then agree on the things that matter most to your school, whether that is fabric durability, skin comfort, the crest, house colours or how uniforms are packed for families.
If you would like to talk through your programme first, send us a message and we will arrange a call with your bursar, head or uniform shop manager.

Factory-direct prices for families, samples before bulk, and deliveries planned around your school calendar each year.
Working directly with our factory removes import and distributor markups. That helps schools keep uniforms affordable for parents while still meeting the standard of quality the school expects from every garment.
Start from 50 sets per style, suitable for a small independent school or a single year group. Sizes can be mixed freely across the order, from the youngest pupils upward.
All garments are inspected to AQL 2.5 and pass through needle detectors before packing, so nothing sharp is ever left behind in a child's uniform. Your samples go through the same checks.
Bulk production takes 18 to 22 business days after sample approval, and we can reserve production windows ahead of the back-to-school peak. You get a date for every stage, so stock arrives before term starts.

School uniforms are worn five days a week, knelt in, run in, sat on and washed far more often than ordinary clothes. That is why fabrics are rated above 50,000 Martindale rubs, stress points are bar-tacked and main seams use heavy twin-needle stitching that resists splitting.
Trousers and skirts carry a stain-repellent finish, so most marks lift out in a normal home wash. Colours hold through repeated washing too, so the uniforms bought in September still look right and match newer pieces in the summer term.

Choose the pieces your school needs. Each one can carry your colours and crest, and is graded from nursery to senior years.

Hard-wearing blazers with custom piping and an embroidered or bullion crest on the chest pocket.

Easy-care cotton-blend shirts with reinforced collar points, long or short sleeves, and a handy chest pocket.

Heavyweight 220 GSM polos with flat-knit collars that do not curl and optional house colour tipping.

Heat-set knife or box pleats that stay crisp, with a let-down hem for growing pupils.

Stain-resistant trousers with an adjustable waistband and double-layer knees for playground wear.

Quick-dry mesh T-shirts, training shorts and track bottoms that keep pupils comfortable during sport, games lessons and after-school clubs.

A uniform is one of the most visible parts of a school's identity. We embroider crests directly or make traditional bullion wire badges, weave your stripes or tartan, and supply buttons carrying the school logo. Colours are matched to your Pantone references, so house colours stay exactly as they should.
For uniform shops and campus stores, we finish garments as private label stock. Damask neck labels show the school crest, care labels include a strip for writing each child's name, and barcoded hang tags make stock easy to manage at the till. Each one is approved on the sample.
Schools that issue uniforms directly can choose full kitting. Each child's set is packed in its own biodegradable polybag and sorted by name, year group or house, so bundles can go straight to families. Your crest, labels and patterns stay on file for next year's intake.
A good school uniform supplier understands that children are hard on clothes and that parents pay for them. Before you choose, look closely at three things: how long the fabric lasts, how comfortable it is on skin and whether delivery fits your school year.
Ask about abrasion ratings, seam construction and stain resistance, not just price. Our trousers and skirts use reinforced, tear-resistant weaves with a stain-repellent finish. Blazers and navy trousers hold Grade 4-5 colourfastness after 50 industrial washes, so colours stay even across the whole school year.
Children wear uniforms for most of the day. Our fabrics are dyed without formaldehyde, heavy metals or azo dyes, necklines use soft cotton tape, and labels are satin-edged or printed so nothing scratches the back of the neck.
A good school uniform is one that children forget they are wearing, and parents never need to replace early.
Plan backwards from the first day of term. Allow time for samples, approval and bulk production, then shipping. We can reserve production windows for trusts and stockists ahead of the busy season, so uniforms arrive in time for fittings, uniform shop sales and new pupil days, without a last-minute rush.
Watch blazers, skirts and PE kits being made, checked and packed for pupils.

Pupils sit, run, reach and play in their uniforms for hours. Here are the four comfort points we build into every school garment.
Fabrics are free from formaldehyde, heavy metals and azo dyes, which helps reduce irritation on warm days and for sensitive skin.
Satin-edged or printed labels and flat or overlocked seams mean nothing rubs at the neck, waist or underarm during lessons.
Patterns are graded to allow sitting, running and reaching freely, from the classroom to the playing field.
Brushed inner waistbands and adjustable fittings keep trousers and skirts comfortable through the year as children grow.
One supplier for the whole uniform list, so colours, crests and sizes stay consistent from nursery to sixth form every year.

Five steps from your uniform list to packed stock at your school, each approved by you first.
Start your orderSend your uniform list, crest artwork, colours, size breakdown and term start date. A tech pack helps, but a photo of current uniforms is enough to begin with.
We send fabric swatches, colour matches and size charts in UK, US, European or custom scales, with advice on fit for each age.
Samples with your crest and labels are made within 7 to 10 business days for your school to check and approve.
Bulk is sewn, inspected to AQL 2.5 and passed through needle detectors before packing.
Packed by pupil, year or house and shipped door to door on DDP terms, with customs handled.
Our starting minimum is 50 sets per style. That allows schools, academy trusts and uniform stockists to start a new programme, test a design or dress a small year group without committing to large volumes. Sizes can be mixed freely within each order, from the youngest children to senior students, so one order covers a whole school.
Yes. We make complete samples within 7 to 10 business days. Bulk production only starts after your school or stockist has approved the fabric, sizing, crest embroidery and seam finishes in writing, so you know exactly what families will receive. Changes are easy at this stage.
We usually suggest high-twist poly-viscose gabardine, 65/35 poly-cotton pique and stain-repellent twills. They resist wear, hold colour, breathe well and recover from creasing through a busy five-day school week. We send swatches so you can compare them in your hand before choosing.
Bulk production takes 18 to 22 business days after sample sign-off and order confirmation. For trusts and stockists, we can reserve production windows in advance, so uniforms arrive before back-to-school fittings and orientation days. You get each date with your quote.
Yes. We offer embroidered crests, bullion wire badges, buttons with your school logo, damask neck labels, care labels with a name write-in strip and barcoded hang tags for uniform shops. Every item appears on your samples first, so the school approves the finished look before bulk begins.
Yes. We match colours to your Pantone references using a spectrophotometer, and can weave school tartans and stripes to match existing patterns. Your samples show the result on the real fabric before you approve it.
Every garment is inspected to AQL 2.5, including seam strength, pilling and colourfastness checks. Each piece also passes through a needle detector before packing, so no broken needle or sharp fragment can end up in a child's uniform. Fabrics are free from formaldehyde and azo dyes.
We ship door to door on DDP terms, so customs clearance, duties and paperwork are handled for you. Urgent orders travel by air express through DHL, FedEx or UPS, and larger programmes go by sea container, delivered direct to your school or depot.
